Chrissy Teigen reveals she gets her Thanksgiving meal from Popeye’s, KFC and even Disneyland

Chrissy Teigen doesn’t just cook herself for Thanksgiving.

In fact, the 38-year-old photogenic wonder relies on several fast food restaurants such as Popeye’s and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

And the cookbook author even relies on the Happiest Place On Earth, Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

The fashion model spoke to Travel + Leisure about her deception.

“We’re getting 20 smoked turkey legs from Disneyland,” says crooner John Legend’s wife.

‘Anyone who has ever eaten them knows that they taste like ham, I think they are crazy. Turkey doesn’t get any better than that,” said the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.

“When we’re at Disneyland, we just lean against the dumpster and peck at turkey feet. That’s always one of my favorite times, so that’s my turkey cheat this year.”

And she doesn’t make her own gravy either.

“I love Popeye’s and KFC gravy so much, and through so many years of stressing over Thanksgiving or the holidays, I’ve learned that if you love the taste of something, and you really can’t do better than the one you love, or the one you grew up with,” she said.

“Bring it in…” she added.

‘I put so much pressure on myself to be perfect and do everything perfectly.

“But the holidays are mostly about family and not about running around in the kitchen, so I like to keep it as fun and simple as possible.”

Teigen also shared how she keeps her four children occupied on a plane.

‘An iPad for the older children. They sit on their iPads or play games and there are no rules. “If everyone is quiet, I’m happy,” she said.

“The babies aren’t really into screens at the moment, thank goodness.

“I saw this trick on TikTok where people get colorful painter’s tape, and you just take different pieces of tape, and you stick them on the window and on the seat in front of you and they remove that tape for hours on a flight.

‘They just pull it and play with it in their hands – it’s the best thing I’ve ever taught little ones.

‘And I paint by numbers on an airplane, because I have to be busy too.’

About her go-to plane snack:

‘Minced beef. And I can never refuse an airplane meal, even if I’m completely full.

“I like Pop Corners cheddar chips and goldfish. But beef jerky is probably my number one; a nice spicy piece of thick-cut jerky is delicious.’
