Chris Sutton said Brazil had fired a warning shot at their World Cup rivals after they beat South Korea to book their place in the quarterfinals against Croatia on Friday.

“It’s been devastating,” Sutton said on BBC Radio 5 Live. “Brazil is telling the rest of the teams in the tournament, ‘We are here.’

Sportsmail columnist Chris Sutton said Brazil had fired a warning shot at their World Cup rivals.
There could and should have been eight. Brazil has been a waste.
‘South Korea has prided itself. They could have dropped their heads, but they worked hard, achieved their goal and played to the end.
Roy Keane, who also works for ITV, said Brazil were a “pleasure to watch” as they raced to a commanding lead, scoring four in the first half at a World Cup for the first time since beating Mexico 5-0 in the 1954 World Cup. .

“What makes a great team is what you do without possession,” Keane said. ‘Brazil has the talent, we have seen it tonight. It was a pleasure to see him live.
‘The speed of the step, they make it seem so simple. It is not.
I could watch that all day.’
However, Sutton’s Sportsmail colleague Graeme Souness was adamant England will not fear Brazil despite a record five winners at Stadium 974.

Souness criticized the South Koreans for being ‘naive’ in the first half, as they went down 4-0 in the 36th minute after going toe-to-toe with Brazil and going wide open at the back.
“For England seeing that tonight, they’re going to think it’s going to be a very different proposition to South Korea,” Souness said.
“From minute one (the Koreans) thought they would face Brazil, it was extremely naive.”
