Chris Rock ‘storms out’ angrily in the middle of his comedy set at billionaire’s holiday party
Chris Rock ran in the middle of his surprise comedy set at the billionaire’s Christmas party.
The comedian was reportedly upset about being videotaped, so he “stormed out” just minutes after taking the stage at Pratt Industries Executive Chairman Anthony Pratt’s winter holiday party.
Rock, 59, was hired by the billionaire cardboard box magnate for his lavish party attended by Australia’s ultra-wealthy elites at the Mandarin Oriental, according to the New York Post.
Comedian Wali Collins and country singer Keith Urban were also hired to perform at the soirée, but in between their sets, Rock surprised the VIP audience.
Rock reportedly took the stage in casual clothes and first joked about the political climate in the US
‘Our new impetus will be space. We will put all the Mexicans on the rockets,” he joked as the conclave of Australian super elites roared with laughter.

Gossip columnist Cindy Adams of the New York Post said ‘he saw something the audience didn’t see’ before abruptly ending his ‘very short set’.
“Whatever he saw – or thought he saw – upset him.”
“Like he was monkeying around for a moment and shouting something as if he wasn’t supposed to be recorded, filmed, reported or whatever that wasn’t supposed to happen.”
She recalled how he “didn’t complain, didn’t explain, didn’t take another minute” before leaving.
He “walked quickly and powerfully through people to the exit doors.”
‘He continued to scream loudly and without a second’s hesitation stormed out – never to return.’
Earlier this year, Pratt held a lavish party at his $100 million mansion in Melbourne and invited a slew of political elites to enjoy a private performance by Katy Perry.
Although there were protesters outside his estate, it appeared that his event went exactly as he planned and no outbursts occurred in front of his guests.

The rock storming out of his holiday party comes nearly three years after another memorable and exciting moment dubbed The Slap Heard Around the World.
During the 94th Academy Awards on March 27, 2022, actor Will Smith walked on stage and punched Rock in the face for making jokes about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
In the past he has talked about how he was diagnosed with non-verbal learning disorder and struggles to understand non-verbal cues from conversations.
“It’s great for writing jokes, but not for one-on-one relationships,” he said.
‘And all I understand are the words. I always put it down to being famous.”
