Chris Rock sparks plastic surgery speculation after SNL hosting gig

Chris Rock returned to Saturday Night Live as host for the fourth time and had a lot to say about current affairs, including newly elected President Donald Trump, liberals and more.

However, many viewers were focused on something closer to home: the funny man’s physical appearance.

Many speculated that the Emmy winner had undergone plastic surgery.

“What did Chris Rock do to his face?” one viewer asked, sharing a screenshot of the 59-year-old actor from his opening monologue on X/Twitter.

“Chris Rock’s plastic surgeon’s license should be revoked,” said one viewer.

“Look… I’m not afraid to ask the TOUGH questions… What’s going on with Chris Rock’s face???” another wondered, continuing with, “He’s got more filler in his face than a pallet of Twinkies.”

That particular thread sparked quite a few conversations about Rock’s face, with one speculating about the types of procedures the star could have undergone and another claiming that the star was only approaching his 60th birthday.

“And it looks like an eye lift,” one person wrote, adding: “Facelift and cheek implants.”

“Chris Rock turns 60 in February,” another user commented. “He just looks a little older now.”

“Look, I’m no expert, but that would mean he ages differently than any human in the history of human life,” the original poster continued.

Perhaps it was the stage lighting that caused the viewers’ reactions. The host didn’t look much different Thursday when he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon than he did a year ago when he was spotted walking in New York City.

The Grammy winner once joked about grabbing a bite to eat in 2018 while promoting his film The Week Of with friend Adam Sandler.

“I’ve had a lot of plastic surgery,” the actor joked when asked Extra how he had changed since his and Sandler’s 2005 film The Longest Yard. ‘I’ve been working on my ears. These are some of the tightest ears in the industry,” he joked.

Sandler, 58, made a cameo appearance in a sketch Saturday night as a patient who woke up during an operation performed by Rock’s character.

Rock teams up with SNL alumnus Leslie Jones for the upcoming I Am Maurice.

The drama focuses on a Haitian immigrant who comes to America after the 2010 earthquake to pursue his dream of becoming a boxer.

Weekend Update host Michael Che is producing the film, along with Damon Wayans Jr and Hasan Minhaj.

Rock, who is known for his adult humor, made headlines when he stopped performing at an Australian billionaire’s holiday party last week.

The Selective Outrage star’s performance was a surprise to the audience, who were also entertained by comedian Wali Collins and country singer Keith Urban.

“Chris left the stage that night,” an insider told DailyMail.com. ‘His routine was not suitable for children.

‘Combined with the fact that people were filming when it had been agreed that it would not be recorded, this led to his decision to end the performance.’

They continued, “But he didn’t storm out or disrespect anyone. He simply decided to put an end to this because this was not the content he believed children should be exposed to.”
