In late October, the genetically blessed actor wore very short, form-fitting shorts — paired with a yellow hoodie — to a workout class.

During an interview with E! News, the star was asked about his decision to wear the barely-there shorts, to which he said, “I don’t think there’s anything to defend. It’s called shorts, right? It has to be short.’

He continued, “Corduroy short shorts. I mean, it’s a vibe. It’s the best atmosphere. It’s like a Tom Selleck vibe. It feels like a 70s surfer vibe. I prefer that.”

Adding: ‘It’s like showtime. Lakers – would you rather see them with the shorts and Magic Johnson looking like a basketball player and athlete, instead of wearing some kind of capris on the floor? No. So I wear the shorts.”

When asked how long he plans to rock the short shorts look, the dashing star cheekily said: ‘Until the legs give out. Look up Tom Selleck, E! ventilators.’
