His Poolman character Darren Barrenman also dons the shirt in the film.
The 43-year-old star was on top as he stepped out to promote the film in New York City on Wednesday.

“This is Darren Barrenman, dressed,” he told host Savannah Guthrie. “This is actually the blazer I wear in the movie.”

Dressed for the chilly NYC weather, Pine traded the corduroy shorts for bright orange trousers with matching woven leather shoes.
Pine added, “And I’m wearing my favorite ‘I love LA’ t-shirt in the movie.”
“The movie I made is a happy, silly, playful movie, and it just didn’t seem like the right vibe for me to show up and do Zoolander poses on the carpet.
“So I decided to go full in,” Pine added of his eccentric press tour looks.
The Don’t Worry Darling actor completed the ensemble with gold frame ombré lens sunglasses and a matching gold chain bracelet.
His current gray beard and semi-slicked back hair resemble Jeff Bridges, whom he honored Monday at the 49th Chaplin Award Gala.
After starring alongside Bridges, 74, in 2016’s Hell or High Water, Pine looks to pay stylistic tribute to Bridges’ eponymous role in 1998’s The Big Lebowski with his latest project.
In his feature film debut, Pine co-wrote and starred in Poolman as the titular Darren, a Los Angeles City Council “gadfly” who is approached to expose a corrupt government deal.
The film also stars Annette Bening, Danny DeVito, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ariana DeBose and DeWanda Wise.

Pine previously provided some more insight into his style evolution.
“I think there comes a certain wonderful point in your life where you stop giving as much FU, and I think I’ve probably reached that point,” he shared E! News at the premiere.
“What I love about what we’ve done is that it’s the joy of everything: of design, of clothing, of cinema, of cinema, of filmmaking, of characters and weird characters,” Pine added. “So I tried to put as much joy into it as I could.”
He also mentioned Italian businessman Lapo Elkann for inspiring him with his “insane style,” as well as “early ’80s Harrison Ford” and Tom Selleck.
“The short shorts are definitely inspired by Tom Selleck, no lie about that,” Pine added.
Poolman premieres in theaters on May 10.
