As soon as he joins his mother and brother in bed, Dutton climbs straight up to Bushnell as his father reminds him to be “careful” with their bundle of joy, whose name has not been revealed at this time.

Lane and Bushnell matched each other in plain white t-shirts while their firstborn wore a sage green sweatshirt with “brother” on it and white sweatpants.

As for the sex they’re hoping for, Lane predicted they’d most likely have another boy.
“My family as a whole, all the boys in our family, we make a lot of boys,” he said. “No one in the family—minus one person—has even had a girl. So if I had to guess, I’m going to continue that tradition and it’ll probably be a boy, but for Lauren’s sake, I guess… My parents die for a little girl, so we’ll see!’
Reflecting on the past three months, the Hold You Tonight hitmaker said Bushnell’s pregnancy has brought them “even closer” than he thought “thought possible.”

Bushnell intervened: “But now we’re like, ‘OK, we can do this.’ Wasn’t necessarily the plan, but we’re so thankful we have another one. We were planning to have at least two children, so we’re very grateful that it could happen for us, even if it wasn’t necessarily on our exact timing.”
She also noted that she had no pregnancy symptoms until she was “around six-and-a-half weeks.”
“It really hit me like a brick,” said the mother-of-one. “The illness was a little more challenging this time, just physically. Unfortunately I was so sick for a few days in a row that I actually had to go to the hospital to get something to drink.’

And chasing her up to “while Chris was on tour” also made it a little harder.
“We’re really excited now that the shock phase and then the disease phase that came after it is over and we can move past those parts. We’re both just incredibly excited,’ she exulted.
Reflecting on how her last pregnancy was different from this one, she said she “started showing a little earlier” and “fully anticipates the potential of having another 9lb baby.”

When asked how getting older has changed their relationship, Lane replied, “Having a child is a lot of work and I feel like you have to have a great partner or it’s easy to see how it wouldn’t work out – it’s getting too stressful.’
“I just realized that Lauren and I are literally a perfect match. I thought that before we had a kid, but having a little boy made me think that even more because I just feel like we’re a great combination,” he concluded.
Still, this time they said they would definitely be less “stressed” about “little things” when their second child arrives.
