Chris said that while he thought he was “sweating out” the toxins, he was instead “torturing his body.”

Sharing a photo of himself in a hospital gown hooked up to an IV drip, Chris said a sip of water made him feel sick.

He wrote: ‘So basically all my Saturday antics have caused this. When I was posting about running that 4k, I didn’t have a true hangover on Sunday and Monday, but I was ‘chronically dehydrated and had alcoholic hepatitis’… (not good, not at all) where essentially my liver is damaged and I couldn’t. Consumption of alcohol and blood have also shown it.

He added: ‘Our NHS is unbelievably good, as we know. They have been thorough and overly kind, which to me is the perfect combination. I have not managed to consume water that is why I am on this drip, a sip of water makes me nauseated.

I’m broke. I have learned my lesson. However, my problem is quite clear.

“I went for a run on Sunday and went to a class on Monday and did a 45 minute circuit, burned 550 calories and then went to the sauna to sweat again for 45 minutes. Thinking that I was taking out the alcohol, but really I was just torturing my body.

“If you’re having a mental struggle or a garbage day, they (the horses) take you to a great place and give you a great sense of freedom.”

The former Love Island star recently visited Welsh National Grand Prix winning trainer Christian Williams to see how racehorses are trained on the beach at Traeth yr Avon near Bridgend.

Her riding skills were put to the test aboard the racehorse, Kitty’s Light, as she cruised the sand dunes before taking the racehorses for a splash in the sea.

Chris added: ‘Riding a horse in training in the sand dunes and along the beach is a completely different experience from other training facilities I’ve ridden at.

“It was a phenomenal experience and the horse felt amazing, you could feel how happy and at home he was.”
