Chris Hemsworth is now a Hollywood superstar.
But the Australian actor began his career in the Australian soap opera Home and Away, where he played the role of Kim Hyde between 2004 and 2007.
On screen, he was paired with actress Amy Mathews, 44, who played his love interest Rachel Armstrong.
The on-screen couple walked down the aisle, with Amy having the unique feat of being Chris Hemsworth’s first ‘wife’, albeit only on-screen.
“I became a different person – and it took me a long time to process that time,” Amy told the Daily telegram about her years in the series’ fictional Summer Bay.
‘Nobody prepares you for fame, or for the media, or for your perception, or for your brand, or for anything like that.
“I was young and learned a lot and made mistakes. If I had the time, I would do it differently.”
She added: ‘I was just so surprised when I got Home and Away – I thought, “Are you sure?” I don’t feel like I belong here, but I’m really grateful to be here.’

Amy has since gone on to build a glittering career, most recently starring in the acclaimed series The Twelve.
Chris, 40, is married to 48-year-old Spanish actress Elsa Pataky.
The couple, who were introduced by their agent in 2010, married within three months of meeting.
Hemsworth, known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also spoke about their immediate connection.
“From the moment we met, it just clicked,” he said.
The loved-up couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named India, in May 2012.
“Nobody prepares you for fame, or media, or your perception or your branding, or anything like that… And I was young and learning and making mistakes, and if I had my time to do it again, I would do it differently,” she said.

More blessings followed when the family expanded in March 2014 with the birth of twins, Sasha and Tristan.
Since then, the Hemsworths have settled in the picturesque coastal town of Byron Bay, where they have been permanently based since 2014.
Chris also reflected on the challenges of their early years in a 2017 interview with GQ Magazine.
“My wife and I fell in love, had kids, didn’t see each other for a few years, and then fell in love again,” he said, acknowledging the challenges of balancing a thriving career with family life.
