The Thor star made the confronting confession in an episode of the Disney+ reality series Limitless, admitting that his career choice stems from a difficult childhood.
‘If I’m completely honest, I did acting to help my parents get out of debt. It might kill me. When I first started acting, my parents had very little money,” he began.
‘Talking to my dad about when he can pay off the bank and him saying, ‘Never, we’ll die if we have to pay it off,’ that bothered me from a young age.’

‘What causes me enormous anxiety and stress is when I try to manage too many things and too many projects.
“I still have these thoughts: It will all go away if I don’t say yes to these things. I can still feel like the stress is eating away at me, and I don’t want it to take over my life.’
National Geographic’s docuseries Limitless chronicles Chris’ commitment to healthy living as he embarks on an epic mission to ensure he lives a long and productive life.
