Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth may be moving back in with one of his former Home and Away colleagues.
The 40-year-old hunk, who appeared in Seven’s long-running soap between 2004 and 2007, is rumoured to be ‘helping’ Kate Ritchie return to Summer Bay.
The plan to get the two back together was revealed this week on Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie.
According to co-host Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli, Kate needed an “audition partner” before her return could be made “official.”
After announcing he had written a script, Wippa teased the veteran actress that he had arranged for a former Home and Away star to film scenes with her.
And on Friday, Wippa revealed he had received a voicemail from the Hollywood star about Kate’s audition – which he then played during the show using a decoder to conceal the actor’s identity.
“Look buddy, I read the script you just sent and it’s crazy,” the actor said.
“That stuff, that storyline, that’s a Bay bomb. And I love it, and I love that you guys are, you know, just diving into it.

The performer then asked for more time to prepare for the role.
“So is there any chance you can give me a little bit more time to perfect the character so that I can, you know, do the scene justice?” they continued.
‘Because I think we’ve got something good here, and I’d like it to work out. Call me back, Wip.’
Kate then suspected that the voice belonged to her former co-star.
‘I know who I think it looks like. It’s a guy with quite a deep, husky voice… He’s not on Home and Away anymore. It’s not Chris Hemsworth, is it?’
Wippa tried to dodge Kate’s questions: “I can’t answer your questions,” he said, adding: “It’s a big name. You’ll find out when the scene is going on.”

Kate (pictured with Debra Lawrence, who played Pippa) grew up on the soap, playing the beloved Sally Fletcher from the age of eight, from seasons 1 to 21
Kate rose to fame playing Sally on Home and Away between 1988 and 2008 and has often spoken of returning to Summer Bay.
Meanwhile, Chris took on the role of Kim Hyde in Home and Away in 2004, after originally auditioning for the role of Robbie Hunter, which he lost to Jason Smith.
After appearing in 171 episodes, Chris left the show in 2007.
There has been no official word about her return to the cast by producers of Seven or Home and Away.
