Chris Hardwick and wife Lydia Hearst share passionate kiss as they heat up red carpet at 2024 Independent Spirit Awards

The 39th Film Independent Spirit Awards celebrated the very best in independent film and television of 2023.

The event, which always takes place during the day with the beach as a backdrop, was held Sunday at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California, with Saturday Night Live comedian Aidy Bryant hosting the festivities.

Before all the stars and celebrities sat down for the ceremony, many of them made a pit stop to the red carpet for a round or two of seaside photos from photographers and fans.

Chris Hardwick and his wife Lydia Hearst were feeling feisty and playful and seemed to be having a great time together, including packing on the PDA and sharing a passionate kiss while on the red carpet.

And in a hilarious moment, the actor, comedian and Talking Dead host appeared to benefit from some gusts of wind as he grabbed the end of his wife’s striking floral dress for an inspection after it started flying a few feet above the ground.

There was a lot of sensitivity between Chris Hardwick and his wife Lydia Hearst on the red carpet before the 39th Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica on Sunday.

The impromptu moment, compliments from Mother Nature and a comedian with a great sense of timing, left the couple both in hysterics.

Hearst, 39, who also goes by Hearst-Shaw, caught the attention of many admirers other than her husband, all dressed up in her fiery red and white Roberto Cavalli maxi dress.

With equal parts sexy and elegance, the dress showed off her fantastic figure with the plunging neckline and sleeveless design that sometimes showed off more than a hint of her cleavage and side boob.

The actress, socialite and lifestyle blogger kept the accessories to a minimum, but she spiced up her dark locks by adding purple and red accents to the mix, along with plenty of natural waves and a center parting.

Hardwick, 52, stepped out for the annual event looking handsome and stylish in a brown three-piece suit which he teamed with a white shirt with a green and brown patterned tie and black dress shoes.

He styled his dark brown hair short, over his ears, with a subtle parting on the left side.

The couple first met in 2013 during the production of an episode of Hardwick’s show Talking Dead, an hour-long aftershow on AMC affiliated with The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, for which he is the host.

Hearst was in the audience and was introduced to Hardwick shortly after the show’s taping.

The couple first met when Hearst attended the taping of Hardwich’s show Talking Dead in 2013, and subsequently married.

The couple finally married after about three years of dating in Pasadena, California, August 2016.

After being discovered by photographer Steven Meisel, Hearst would quickly rise through the ranks of modeling, landing her first magazine cover for Vogue Italia in 2004.

The model, actress, socialite and lifestyle blogger is the granddaughter of American newspaper publishing magnate and politician William Randolph Hearst.

She is also the daughter of Patty Hearst, who first became known for her 1974 kidnapping by the Symbionese Liberation Army, which at one point landed her in prison for a bank robbery before her sentence was commuted by President Jimmy Carter and ultimately pardoned received from President Bill Clinton. .

Hardwick’s television career dates back three decades with a guest role on the drama series Thirtysomething (1991), which eventually led to his hosting job on MTV’s Singled Out (1995-1998).

He also starred in shows such as Married… with Children (1996), Guys Like Us (1998-1999), The 2012-2013), Talking Bad (2013), Family Guy (2015), Talking with Chris Hardwick (2017) and America’s Got Talent (2017-2018), among many others.
