Chris D’elia’s stand-up show is interrupted by a man having a SEIZURE – four years after comedian’s sexual misconduct scandal

A terrifying scene unfolded during Chris D’elia’s Stand-up Show when a man sitting in the front row had a seizure.

It all happened last weekend at Levity Live in the Oxnard neighborhood of Southern California and was captured in a video shared to his personal Instagram page, according to TMZ.

Instead of stopping the show altogether, the comedian continued his show by responding to the emergency situation unfolding before his eyes, just a few feet in front of him in the front row.

“Too early,” a man shouted from where the man was sitting in the front row. At this, D’elia began a 13-minute segment in which he elaborated on what he had just seen. There was also a question-and-answer session about the man’s condition.

Seconds after the man nearly fell off his chair, D’Elia repeatedly asked him from the stage using his microphone if he was OK.

After a few moments, it seemed like the man was okay. The New Jersey native kept asking about his condition: “You okay, bro?” he asked with genuine concern.

“F*** yeah, big round of applause for this man who almost died,” the New Jersey native shouted, earning a thunderous round of applause from the audience.

“You’re okay, you’re good, right? Is that something that happens?” he asked the stricken man.

After the man confirmed that everything was fine, it took only a few seconds for D’Elia and everyone else in the room to realize that something was wrong with the man and he was having seizures again.

“No, no, he’s not fine,” the You star corrected herself, before suggesting putting the man down: “Should we call an ambulance, anyone?”

A few guests then carry the man away from the seats, away from the stage, to provide him with medical attention.

“A round of applause,” D’elia says, then continues her show and responds to what just happened.

“Let’s do the show,” he announced, then added, “Let’s walk with him,” referring to the man who had suffered the attack.

“Wow, that’s crazy. I think the Pride Month thing really hit him hard,” he joked, prompting a response from another fan sitting in the front row who shouted, “Too early.”

“Too early. It happened at the comedy show now. What do you mean, too early. What am I supposed to do, fucking monologue from a Tennessee Williams play?”

“Too early. It’s the fucking comedy club; this happened in the front row. It didn’t happen back there. You guys are like, ‘Be cool, man.’ Well, f**k you, man,” he shot back. “You know how hard this is right now and that guy almost died.”

In total, D’elia spent almost 15 minutes telling the story about the man and his seizures. There was also a question and answer session with other people about the man and his condition.

He also talks to some of the colleagues of the man who had to be taken away, and they say he is doing well.

“It’s been 20 years and this is the weirdest show I’ve ever done. Guy has a seizure in the front row and almost dies,” the comedian revealed midway through his 13-minute segment.

The terrifying incident came four years after D’Elia was first accused of sexual abuse, assault and harassment, beginning in 2020.

In interviews with Rolling Stone10 women accused him of predatory behavior. Four of them claimed they were teenagers when the comedian allegedly exploited them.

D’Elia allegedly solicited sexual images and videos from the women, asked for sexual favors in exchange for free tickets to his shows, sexually approached them on social media, tracked their locations, picked out outfits, imposed curfews, and even forced some of them to get tattoos of his initials.

Immediately afterward, D’Elia was dropped by his agents and some of his famous friends and colleagues publicly turned against him.

“Too early,” a man shouted from where the man had been sitting in the front row, prompting D'elia to begin a 13-minute segment in which he elaborated on what he had just seen, including a Q&A about the man's condition.

In a video he released in 2021, he confessed that he had become addicted to sex.

D’Elia has generally denied the allegations made against him over the years, but has also at times not immediately responded to detailed requests for comment on specific allegations.

One of the plaintiffs who filed a lawsuit against D’Elia voluntarily withdrew the lawsuit, a little over a month after it was originally filed.

He has since made a comeback as a stand-up comedian and married his long-term partner Kristin Taylor in June 2022.
