Chris Cuomo brands Sylvester Stallone a ‘cartoonish fool’ in bizarre rant

Chris Cuomo labels Sylvester Stallone a “cartoonish fool” in outlandish tirades and declares he “doesn’t like” the star’s iconic characters like Rocky and Rambo

Chris Cuomo has labeled acting legend Sylvester Stallone a “cartoonish fool” in a bizarre tirade during an appearance on The Adam Friedland Show on Wednesday.

The disgraced former CNN host, 52, slammed the Rocky star, 76, saying he “doesn’t like” any of his legendary characters in the candid chat.

The chat started when Friedland asked if his former colleague Wolf Blitzer ever had his “penis under the desk,” to which Cuomo replied “no, I called him “the captain” when I was there. He was the example of everything we wanted to be. The man works hard and he’s a good man.’

Friedland replied, “He’s like a Stallone character” to which Cuomo replied, [But] instead of being a cartoonish fool, Blitzer is just a genuinely good guy.”

A mocking Friedland asked, “Are you anti-Stallone?” to which Cuomo said he “didn’t like” the characters the Oscar winner has played.

Stallone is widely regarded as one of the greatest movie stars of all time, with his most famous role playing Italian Stallion and underdog boxer Rocky Balboa, whom he has played in eight films.

Cuomo got the boot from CNN in late 2021 for giving advice to his brother, then-Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo, as he battled a sexual misconduct scandal.

It was also revealed that Chris used his media connections and contacts to check stories about his brother in the pipeline and send the information back to the governor’s agents.

In February, Cuomo shared his struggles on “Open Book with Anthony Scaramucci,” the podcast hosted by the former White House communications director whose tenure on stage lasted a week and a half.

‘I had to accept [the CNN termination] because I was going to kill everyone, myself included. Things can consume you,” he said.

He added: “Italians are so passionate and I really had to fight that because… I have too many people relying on me.”

The broadcast journalist, now back behind a desk, said he “makes a lot of mistakes” and began seeing a therapist after being “s**t-canned” by the higher-end CNNs.

“There’s harm that’s relatable, there’s harm that’s unrelated to people I’m dealing with, that I’m working on,” he said.
