Authorities say 25-year-old Shannon Epstein became combative aboard the 6 a.m. Spirit Airlines flight from New Orleans to New Jersey, injuring six sheriff’s deputies, one of whom was bitten in the altercation.

She even threatened officers who were trying to get her off the plane, saying her uncle is a friend of former President Donald Trump and knows some powerful people, said Capt. Jason Rivarde, a spokesman for the Jefferson Parish sheriff’s office. saying nola.com.

Epstein ultimately had to be handcuffed to a wheelchair by seven different sheriff’s deputies to be forced off the plane, he said.

She is now charged with six counts of assault on a police officer, three counts of disorderly conduct, one count of resisting arrest by force and one count of remaining after being barred.

The foul-mouthed niece was released from the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on Thanksgiving Day after posting $10,750 bond. She is due back in court on January 23.

The niece of former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was thrown off a plane after accusing a Latino family of “cocaine smuggling” and biting a sheriff’s deputy, authorities say. The former governor appears here at the Republican Jewish Coalition Annual Leadership Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, last month.

He allegedly threatened sheriff’s deputies on the scene, saying his uncle is a friend of former President Donald Trump and knows some important people.

Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Jason Rivarde recounted how it took seven deputies to handcuff her to a wheelchair and force her off the plane in New Orleans.

According to Rivarde, the whole situation started when Epstein became angry and heckled aboard the Thanksgiving flight and asked a family that appeared to be Latino if they were “smuggling cocaine.”

Airline employees soon decided to remove her from the plane, which had already left the gate of Louis Armstrong International Airport, but she allegedly refused to leave after the plane returned to the runway.

Epstein is said to have become “extremely combative” when Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputies approached her and injured six as they resisted arrest, including biting one on the arm and breaking the skin.

She allegedly kicked others in the groin and spat at others, NOLA.com reports, while yelling at them that they would lose their jobs or end up in jail because her uncle is a friend of former President Donald Trump and she knows some important people.

The officers were treated for their injuries at the scene, while seven others worked to handcuff Epstein to a wheelchair to force her out.

As she was led away, Rivarde said, she continued to yell vulgarities and tried to bite more officers.

The former New Jersey governor has yet to comment on the altercation.
