Chris Christie claims he has ‘a good chance’ of delivering a knockout blow to former President Trump ‘under the brightest light’

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie talks about his own ability to win a winning discussion and even knock down Donald Trump in the race for the White House.
Christie, who made a “porn star” attack on Trump earlier this week while claiming Ron DeSantis wasn’t conservative enough, made the remarks during a trip to New Hampshire, a state at the center of its failed 2016 presidential campaign.
Known as a political fighter, Christie was asked if other members of the Republican field weren’t “physical enough” or didn’t have the “aggressiveness” to take Trump down on a day when he led the field in another new poll.
‘Look, I know what I’m good at. I know how to articulate an argument. I know how to make it. I know how to land it. And I feel like I have the ideas that people are generally attracted to. So if you have those things, you have a good chance of being able to do it. No guarantees, but a good chance,” he said Fox news.

Christie declined to break up other members of the field, including former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, DeSantis, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchison, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswami (with former Vice President Mike Pence returning to Iowa this weekend).
‘As for the others, you will have to judge the others. I just know who I am, and I think you all know who I am and what I’ve been able to do before, under the brightest light,” he said.
“That’s the last bit… a lot of people can do things when the lights aren’t so bright. But when those lights get really bright and everyone is watching, can you perform or not? And that’s a lot of what these races are about.”
He may have been referring to his removal of Senator Marco Rubio in 2016, a brutal removal that has nevertheless been likened to a “murder-suicide.’
Christie was asked if he would refocus heavily on New Hampshire if he ran (he placed sixth in 2016).
“I love New Hampshire,” he said coyly.

His comments in New Hampshire came the day after he launched a “porn star” attack on Trump by bringing up his alleged affair with Stormy Daniels, which Trump denies happened.

His comments are the latest sign that he’s seriously considering a run. On Friday, Politico reported that Christie has spoken to about three dozen former personnel consultants who could form a network if he jumps into the race.
“As we continue, we want you all to be with us,” he told the group. “Thank you to all of you for everything you have already done for us. It’s been a really great ride. And you know what? It may not be over just yet.’
In yet another signal, Christie, who failed to aggressively crack down on Trump in 2016, raised the fraught Stormy Daniels issue this week during an interview with Semaphore — even siding with the porn star in her accusations, which Trump denies.
“You have someone who had an affair with a porn star, paid her $130,000 to cover it up, to keep that information from the American people… That’s not the character of someone I think should be president of the United States should be,” Kristie said.
