Four people, including a 15-year-old girl, were shot Friday night during a high school football game in Oklahoma.

High school football players and fans in the stands fled for their lives after a gunman opened fire during Choctaw High School’s game against Del City.

At around 10:15 p.m., shots were heard, with less than five minutes left in the third quarter.

One of the victims was taken to hospital where he was treated for an injured thigh before being released Koco news. But the condition of the other three is still unknown.

Terrifying footage has emerged of people desperately running away from Bill Jensen Field, while others lie low to the ground to avoid the hail of bullets.

The shooter has not yet been arrested and police suspect he has fled.

One of the victims was treated at the hospital and released, Choctaw Police Chief Kelly Marshall said.

Another was taken to OU Medical Center and a source said one of the injured was a 15-year-old girl. One of the victims was said to be a student.

Del City Police Chief Loyd Berger told News 9 that one of his officers was involved in the shooting because he worked off duty as security.

He said his officer fired his gun but was unsure if anyone was injured and that the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office was assisting with the investigation.

A witness described the state of panic during the event when the gunshots went off and called it a “terrifying situation.”

Mark Rodgers, who was at Bill Jensen Field, told Koco 5 that he heard the gunshots go off around 10:15 p.m.

There were less than five minutes left in the third quarter before the shooting occurred and the game was halted.

Video footage shows the moment when the players on the field and the fans fled while others took cover on the field.

“The panic came in waves after the first shots. Just a scary situation,” Rodgers said.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and he claimed to have seen two ambulances run away.

The football game was the first game of the season for both teams.
