Chloe Grace Moretz debuts bob haircut for TODAY show appearance in NYC: ‘I did a little bit of chopping!’
Independent Spirit Award winner Chloë Grace Moretz debuted a brand new bob haircut Thursday morning as she entered NBC Studios at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan’s Midtown neighborhood.
The 26-year-old former child star – who has 27.3 million social media followers – revealed it was hairstylist Gregory Russell who had the honor of “cutting” her shoulder-length locks.
Chloe looked leggy in $2,390 JW Anderson “Padlock Strap Ruffled Leather Shorts” with the $850 “Cropped Ruffled Hem Jacket” and kitten heel slides selected by stylist Nell Kalonji.
Makeup artist Kale Teter brought out Moretz’s natural beauty with minimal cosmetics.
The Atlanta-born blonde — who just moved to the Big Apple and got her motorcycle license — appeared on the NBC morning show for the fourth time on Thursday.

“So… I chopped up a little!” The 26-year-old former child star – who has 27.3 million social media followers – revealed it was hairstylist Gregory Russell who had the honor of ‘cutting’ her shoulder-length locks
Chloe promoted her voice-over role as the titular shapeshifting teen sidekick of former Knight Ballister Blackheart (Oscar winner Riz Ahmed) in Nick Bruno and Troy Quane’s animated adventure comedy Nimona, premiering June 30 on Netflix.
“Riz and I haven’t met in years. We recently met at the Met Gala, which was really funny,” Moretz explained TODAY.
“We started shooting this pre-pandemic and during the pandemic I felt really lucky to be able to continue making art and to be able to work through that and do something so fun, voiceover, in my closet.
‘It’s a lot better soundproofed. But yeah, we met at the Met Gala and we were like, “I’ve been hearing you in my head for years! But I haven’t really seen you in person!”‘
The 99-minute fantasy film – based on ND Stevenson’s 2015 graphic novel – also features the voices of Riz Ahmed, Eugene Lee Yang, Frances Conroy, Lorraine Toussaint, Beck Bennett, RuPaul, Sarah Sherman and Indya Moore.
And on February 9, Amazon Studios renewed Scott B. Smith’s sci-fi drama The Peripheral for a second season, so fans can expect more from the paid Diablo Dungeon Crawl partner’s character Flynne Fisher.
You know it’s always exciting [juggling multiple projects],” Chloe explained.
“And I think after the pandemic, being able to just be on set and be with people and make art again is a really exciting thing. And being able to show it to people who can consume it on TV!’
