Chloe Bailey endorses Kamala Harris for president as she shares significance of being able to ‘vote for another woman of colour’ – after she was named Glamour’s Musician Of The Year
Chloe Bailey has endorsed Kamala Harris for president after sharing the importance of being able to “vote for another woman of color.”
The 26-year-old singer won the coveted Musician of The Year gong at Glamour’s Women Of The Year Awards in London on Tuesday.
“There was a time when people who looked like me didn’t have the opportunity to vote,” Chloe said in an interview with Glamor Britain on Wednesday.
“I am a Black woman in 2024 who can make my voice heard – who can actually vote for another woman of color to potentially become president.
“For this generation, no matter which direction they go, it’s important to speak up and make our voices heard.”

Chloe talked about how she believes society has made many steps forward in terms of equality.
“As a black woman, I can walk down the street and into any store, I can make a living saying the things I want to say in my music,” she said.
But Chloe added that it is “sad” to see rights that have been fought for and won potentially being taken away again – especially the right to abortion.
“There is still a long way to go to equality,” she added.
Chloe followed in her older sister’s footsteps when she accepted the Musician Award, after Halle earned last year’s honor.
Hosted by rap superstar Eve, 46, Chloe said in her acceptance speech: ‘This job has made me realize unimaginable dreams.’
She oozed glamor in a couture strapless red evening gown by Robert Wun, with a corset-style top and a busty pointy cone bra, leaving all eyes on her.
She looked nothing short of sensational in the chic dress, which she paired with matching long red gloves.

Chloe’s hair looked amazing tied up in a big, curly updo for the star-studded event, while she opted for a smoky makeup palette to take her natural beauty to the next level.
She looked in good spirits as she posed up a storm on the red carpet before heading inside for the ceremony.
Although the artist has developed a solo career in recent years, Chloe shared that fans can expect to see new music from her and her sister Halle Bailey’s group, Chloe x Halle.
‘Absolute!’ she said during an interview with Forbes in April. ‘Well, I’m very proud of my sister and I’m very proud of myself too.
She oozed glamor in the striking ensemble, which consisted of a corset-style top and a busty pointy cone bra, before ending in a ruffled skirt.

‘We both have really cool solo projects this year and probably next year our group music will drop, which will be very exciting. I can’t wait for that and I know the fans are looking forward to it too!’
Chloe also shared how her creative endeavors have grown during her time in the entertainment industry.
“I would say it progresses naturally as I grow as a person, you know?” she joked. ‘Seeing where the wind blows and where it will take me.
‘I feel like as a creative you have to be honest with yourself and be honest when it comes to vulnerability, and in order to do that you have to live, so that’s what I do! I’m just trying to live well.’
