The two men are accused of killing 72-year-old Hussein Murray in his basement in the upscale Rochester Hills neighborhood – about 25 miles outside Detroit – and duct-taping his wife, also 72, who managed to call 911.

Police said Murray died at his Newcastle Drive home around noon on Friday.

Officers were dispatched to the home after the woman, who has not yet been identified, called 911, where they found her tied up and with tape on her hands, the statement said.

She told officers she thought her husband might have been kidnapped, but when they checked the house to make sure the intruders were gone, they found Murray’s body in the basement.
