Police are hunting a mystery gunman after a drive-by shooting in Sydney’s west, sparking fears the incident is linked to gangland violence.
Emergency services were called to Bligh Street in Guildford, about 17 miles west of the CBD, about 9.35pm on Monday after reports of shots fired.
View of the scene shows a bullet hole in the front door of the home where police tape was used to cordon off the crime scene.
A white Mercedes Benz AMG parked in the driveway was located in the taped off area and a burned out car was discovered nearby.
Ny Breaking Australia understands the incidents are not related and the car fire is not being treated as suspicious. No one was injured.

Daily Telegraph crime reporter Mark Morri said an underworld figure told him the drive-by shooting was linked to a ‘minor skirmish’.
“There are still major conflicts going on in the streets involving the Comancheros and some very powerful organized crime gangs, which is a real concern,” he told Sunrise on Tuesday morning.
‘People don’t shoot at houses like this with a burnt-out car that appears to be connected. It has the characteristics of being involved in some kind of organized crime network.”
A 29-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Granville Police Station where she assisted police.
She was released and will be dealt with on a Future Service Court Attendance Notice for obstructing police.
Police continue to hunt for the shooter and investigate possible gang ties.
