Chilling reaction of police after cocktail explodes in woman’s face causing horrific injuries

Chilling footage shows police officers laughing and joking as they watch footage of a 20-year-old woman being horribly injured by an exploding cocktail.

The unidentified 20-year-old was drinking at the Courtside Bar and Grill in Binghamton on December 27 when the incident occurred, and an unnamed officer has since been suspended for leaking surveillance footage of the disturbing incident.

It shows the moment the woman burst into flames after the drink was set on fire. Two other people were also slightly injured.

Voices can be heard in the background laughing and commenting on the clip.

A police officer has since been suspended over allegations that the video was leaked by someone involved in the investigation. It is unclear whether he was one of the men he heard laughing.

The video shows the woman sitting at the bar when a fire suddenly breaks out in front of her and another customer.

She jumps up and frantically begins to extinguish the flames on her chest and head.

The other person at the bar collapses on the floor and begins desperately scratching their heads as the decorations from the nearby bar fall on top of them.

“That was f***king awesome,” you hear a voice say at the beginning of the clip.

“She was just there celebrating her 21st birthday,” another added before looking at the explosion.

“Maybe they replaced it with a flamethrower from the Vietnamese king,” another noted.

“It looks like it stuck to her like napalm,” a third man added.

The 20-year-old was rushed to Upstate Medical in Syracuse, while the other two injured people were treated at the scene for minor burns.

Police have charged bartender Camlyn Lyons, 28, of Vestal, with unlawful sale of alcohol to a person under 18 years of age.

They also confirmed that they have suspended an officer without pay over the leaked footage.

“The Binghamton Police Department’s Internal Affairs Bureau is conducting an investigation into the unauthorized sharing of video evidence from the December 27 fire at 56 Court St., which was subsequently posted to social media,” Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham said. WBNG.

“As a result of that ongoing investigation, a police officer has been suspended indefinitely without pay.

“I expect further disciplinary action for the suspended officer and for any other officer found to have violated department policy.”

“I will reserve further comment until the investigation is complete. But I take this matter very seriously.”
