Chilling moment serial stalker, 40, follows unsuspecting woman as she walks to work while using a fake Facebook profile to harass multiple women: Creep jailed for four years
The chilling moment a serial stalker followed an unsuspecting woman down the street as she walked to work was captured on CCTV.
David Brudenell, 40, used a fake Facebook profile to stalk and harass seven different women, leaving them ’emotionally distressed’.
The creep has now been sentenced to four years in prison.
The 40-year-old messaged a victim for months, sending her sexually explicit messages with him superimposing her face.
A court heard Brudenell also sent her voice messages and a photo he took of her, showing the clothes she was wearing that day.
The woman contacted police last July and officers traced the story to Brudenell, who was captured on CCTV following her as she walked through Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Disturbing footage shared by Derbyshire Police shows Brudenell following his victim along several roads. His arrest was also caught on camera.
After he was arrested, the sick stalker’s phone was seized and group messages he sent to six other women were found.
The messages were all sexually explicit, and some contained pornographic images.
He also called one of the women several times, leaving voicemails, including one in which he threatened to rape her.

Brudenell, from Ilkeston, was charged with stalking causing serious alarm, intimidation and sending an electronic communication conveying a message that was indecent or grossly offensive.
He admitted the offenses and was sentenced to four years and four months in prison at Derby Crown Court on January 7.
He was also given a restraining order preventing him from having any contact with any of the victims.
Detective Sergeant Jack Gibbs, of Derbyshire Police, said afterwards: ‘Brudenell led a campaign of abuse against seven different victims.
‘He attempted to conceal his offending by creating and using false social media profiles and subjected the victims to messages of a threatening and sexual nature.
‘His behavior escalated when he physically followed one of the victims, photographed her from behind and sent her the images.
‘When police were alerted to the incident, further victims were identified and assisted to assist the investigation.
“I would like to thank all members of the community who played a vital role in supporting this investigation and securing Brudenell’s conviction.
