Chilling last images of murdered Polish hotel worker emerge 

The chilling latest footage of a Polish hotel worker has emerged as police revealed she could have been forced to send a reassuring message to her boyfriend before she was reportedly handcuffed, raped and strangled on Kos.

The half-naked remains of Anastazja Rubińska were found by police in a bag hidden under a bush following a week-long investigation following the 27-year-old’s disappearance in a case that has shocked Greece.

Investigators said she texted her boyfriend saying she was in danger, followed by another a minute later to tell him she was fine.

They added that she may have been forced to send the latter or her killer sent the message.

Last seen at a local cafe on Monday, June 12, a video shows her leaving with a Bangladeshi man who has since been arrested for her murder.

Now photos have surfaced in local media showing the woman leaving a store with the 32-year-old suspect, named Salahuddin S., who was apprehended with scratches on his arms and face.

Rubińska was found dead on Saturday about half a mile from his home and 500 feet from where her cell phone was found.

He appeared in court on Monday and denied all charges.

Salahuddin S. worked on a local farm after allegedly arriving in Greece as an illegal immigrant “two or three years ago”.

Local radio Ekfrasi97 told Polish newspaper Fakt: ‘As an illegal immigrant, [he] was arrested and subsequently passed an identification process.

“He probably spent some time in the camp and then applied for asylum.”

He originally told police he had consensual sex with the victim, but officers searched his apartment and found traces of her DNA, a bloody blouse and strands of her blonde hair.

They also found a plane ticket that he had bought the day after her disappearance for a flight to Italy.

He later denied having sex with the woman. It is now believed that after leaving the apartment she was taken to an abandoned house where she was raped and murdered before her body was wrapped in a bag and dumped nearby.

Rubińska was from Wrocław and worked with her Polish boyfriend in a five-star hotel in the tourist town of Marmari.

Her devastated father, Andrzej Rubiński, said she was very confident and “thought everyone was friendly,” she added to the Polish newspaper One: ‘She was a good girl, albeit reckless.’

Rubińska’s father said his wife had traveled to identify their daughter’s body.

He said her body was in such bad shape after six days in the heat that the coroner reportedly had to “prepare the corpse properly so my wife wouldn’t get a shock.”

When his wife flew to Greece on Friday, he said he already had a bad feeling and told his wife she was “only going for the body.”

For the heartbroken father, who was left behind in Poland, there is no doubt that she was ‘kidnapped, raped and murdered’ after she disappeared a week ago.

He said she burned her hand a few days before she went missing and in her search for remedies had the “stupid idea to smoke a joint,” which some men she met at the market allegedly wanted to arrange for her .

“They tricked her, apparently waiting for dark. Maybe they put something in her drink in the few hours she was with them,’ her father speculated to Onet about his trusting daughter.

Now Poland has demanded that Greece extradite the man accused of her murder.

She had only been on the island for a few weeks and according to local reports she met a group of men from Bangladesh and Pakistan and wanted to buy some cannabis.

A few minutes after telling her partner that one of them would drive her home, she contacted him again and asked him to pick her up, sending him the location.

But when he arrived, she was nowhere to be seen.

The Polish government has said it wants to open its own investigation into the matter and has asked Greek authorities to hand over “all evidence”.

The Polish prime minister has also called for the man to be extradited so that he can be “handled severely”.

Prime Minister Mateus Morawiecki said: “I am shocked by the brutal murder of Anastasia.

“The murderer must bear the harshest consequences. That is why we will ask Greece to extradite the suspect so that he can be tried in a Polish court and receive the most severe sentence.’

Meanwhile, the woman’s brother has told Greek media: “I want to meet him, finish him off.”

Adrian Rubinski told local media in Kos: ‘I would like ten minutes to meet this man and finish him off myself.

“I certainly don’t think it was an accident. I can’t say anything else. Let justice be done. The people who did it should be punished as they deserve.’

He added: “I hope her murder will serve as a warning to other girls when they are in other countries to mind their company and be more careful.

“She was a young woman who had many dreams, she loved to travel and dreamed of becoming a model. She was with her partner for 13 years. They were traveling together, but were not thinking about getting married.’

Rubińska’s brother paid tribute to his sister on social media, writing: “It’s hard for me to write this… But rest in peace sister.

“Be blessed in the next world, and rest assured that justice will be done.”

Poland has also called on the Greek authorities to hand over the details of the investigation.

Poland’s Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro posted on Twitter on Monday that he had “ordered an investigation” and that “the case will be dealt with by the district prosecutor’s office in Wroclaw.”

He added: “Prosecutors will immediately ask Greek investigators for evidence.”
