Furious locals have put up a sarcastic, handwritten warning sign at the crash site where a Ferrari 458 Italia crashed into an $11 million mansion in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

The luxury supercar, worth about $500,000, crashed into a brick wall at Robertson Place in Watsons Bay, an elite suburb in Sydney’s east, at 1.15pm on Thursday.

A 55-year-old woman suffered chest injuries and became trapped in the wreckage before being cut free by rescuers.

The 56-year-old male driver suffered minor head injuries in the collision.

Less than 24 hours after the accident, a sign was placed at the roundabout where the car drove through a pedestrian railing towards the boundary wall of the house.

“Speed + Coke Kills,” the sign read. “Slow down, jerk.”

It is not suggested that the driver was actually speeding or on coke, just that he drives a Ferrari.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the driver and his passenger were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where they are in a stable condition.

The supercar had its own rego license plate and had only a total of 14,000 km on the odometer since it rolled off the production line in 2014

A female resident of the house the car crashed into – once owned by Sydney businessman Mark Bouris – said more needed to be done to protect the community.

‘The municipality really needs to do something. It’s just not good enough. The fence barrier is not strong enough,” she told Daily Mail Australia on Friday.

“We’re just relieved no one was hurt.”

Photos from the crash scene showed several police vehicles and fire trucks at the scene.

The rear of the black Ferrari partially blocked the sidewalk as a crowd of pedestrians gathered around the crash site.

Several parts of the front of the luxury vehicle were severely damaged by the impact of the collision and the hood was forced open by the crash.

The vehicle was a Ferrari 458 Italia, which can cost up to $500,000 in pristine condition. According to available data from Service NSW, only 150km had been driven in the past year.

The supercar had its own Rego license plate and had only 14,000 km on the odometer since it rolled off the production line in 2014.

Mr Bouris is said to have sold the Watsons Bay property for $7 million in 2013, according to property records.

NSW Police said officers were investigating the circumstances of the crash.
