A toddler was rushed to hospital after falling 10 meters from the balcony of his third-floor apartment.
Emergency services were called to an apartment building on Hythe Street in Mount Druitt, western Sydney, at around 10:10am on Tuesday to report that a child had fallen from a balcony.
A neighbor told Daily Mail Australia that the boy was less than two years old and had fallen from the third floor of his family’s home.
The boy jumped from the third-floor balcony but survived and is in serious condition.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
NSW Police said the boy miraculously fell into bushes on the ground, partially breaking his fall.
High fences, with sharp metal spikes, enclose the apartment building and the boy manages to avoid that too when he falls.
A CareFlight helicopter landed at the scene to treat the boy before he was rushed to Westmead Hospital by NSW Ambulance.
The child is in serious condition.
