Child, three, fighting for life after being hit by a car in Endeavour Hills, Melbourne

A three-year-old girl has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car.

The child was reportedly hit by the car at the intersection of James Cook Drive and Heatherton Road, in Endeavor Hills, in Melbourne’s south-east, about 8.30am on Thursday.

She was taken to Dandenong Hospital in a critical condition, while the 24-year-old driver stopped at the scene and assisted police with inquiries.

A children’s scooter was seen on its side in footage from Seven News.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has CCTV, dashcam footage or other information is urged to call Crime Stoppers.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
