A child has been hit by a train in suburban Adelaide.
The boy was struck by a car at Tambelin railway station in Evanston Gardens, north Adelaide, at around 8:15am (ACDT) on Tuesday morning.
The child is reportedly conscious and breathing, but suffered a laceration to the head, the Adelaide Advertiser reports.
It is understood that the boy was an elementary school student on his way to school.
The Gawler Line, connecting North Adelaide to the CBD, was suspended in both directions between Elizabeth and Gawler.
Replacement buses will temporarily operate the line.
Clark Road, which runs through the station, has been closed to traffic.
