Child hit by car in Melbourne: emergency services rush to the scene of the accident

Police are responding to reports that a child was hit by a child at Mount Waverley.

Paramedics were called to the eastern suburb around 8 a.m. Friday after a 14-year-old teenager was hit by a car.

The man was rushed to the Royal Children’s Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Nunawading Police are in talks with the owner of a SUV Wagon, 46, who is now assisting in the investigation.

The incident happened outside a residence on High Street Road, opposite the Riversdale golf course.

Police are also speaking to residents at the scene with diversions on the High Street Road.
