Chiefs star Rashee Rice ‘joins teammates for Kansas City offseason practice’… despite investigation into 119mph car crash and alleged assault
Chiefs star Rashee Rice will reportedly join his teammates today and play a full role as Kansas City kicks off offseason training.
That’s despite the fact that the wide receiver is currently facing police investigations into a 120 mph car crash in Dallas and an alleged assault on a photographer.
Previous reports claimed that the Chiefs expect Rice to be suspended for at least half of the upcoming NFL season.
According to ESPNHowever, Rice will be present when the team begins the next phase of the preseason on Monday.
The 24-year-old, who helped the Chiefs to a second straight Super Bowl victory in February, faces eight charges in the high-speed crash.

Rice, 24, allegedly hit a photographer at the Lit Kitchen nightclub in Dallas during a night out
A man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, including swelling on one side of his face, officials said The Dallas Morning News.
Law enforcement officials are investigating claims that Rice beat the man, with a police report accusing the “suspect” — Rice is not named — of luring the photographer back to the Lit Lounge & Feu Nightclub in downtown Dallas before attacking him .
But the owner of the nightclub at the center of the assault allegations questioned police’s version of events.
He claimed that security footage shows the accuser leaving without any visible injuries.
As a rookie last season, Rice led the Chiefs wide receivers in catches (79), yards (938) and touchdowns (7).
