Kansas City Chiefs star Chris Jones has a point to prove as he prepares to strip down for Fox’s ‘Real Full Monty’ charity striptease.
The defensive tackle, who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 310 pounds, is one of several celebrities taking part in the upcoming show, which sees stars “strip naked in front of a live audience.”
Actor James Van Der Beek, Broadway star Taye Diggs, actor and musician Tyler Posey and Dancing with the Stars judge Bruno Tonioli will also participate.
And the three-time Super Bowl winner is determined to prove he can do just as well as his smaller peers.
“I try to show them that big boys can jig too.” Jones said in a teaser clip. “We can be flexible, we can do everything little guys do. And we’ll look better if we do it, because we’re so big you can’t miss us.’
Clearly, Jones, one of the best defenders in the NFL, did not take his role lightly.

Despite admitting his dancing experience was somewhat lacking, Jones insisted he would give it his all on December 9, when the special episode airs.
‘My dancing experience? I give myself a five out of ten. I can do what needs to be done. Am I a professional at it? No,” he said to the camera with a wry smile.
Last week, his dance partner, comedian Anthony Anderson, revealed that the defensive tackle required a wardrobe change for the upcoming show.
Anderson, known for his role on “Black-ish,” appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark ahead of the Dec. 9 special. And he revealed that Jones is so ‘massive’ that designers had to recreate his underwear.
“I think they had to bring in extra material or some foreign material for his thong. I mean, the man is huge. It’s huge,” the comedian said.
Anderson attempted to clarify his comments, jokingly adding: “I mean huge in height and weight, that’s what I’m talking about. Get your mind out of the gutter.”
Before joining the Chiefs, Jones made headlines at the NFL combine when he fell and his manhood slipped out of his shorts.
Almost ten years later, he takes part in ‘The Real Full Monty’, inspired by the Oscar-nominated film from 1997. The striptease is choreographed by actress Mandy Moore.
“She was very busy with the six of us,” Anderson joked. “(When) the first beat of the music plays and we stand on stage and the lights come on, we shimmer and vibrate.”
Anderson said the real message behind the striptease is to “raise awareness of cancer in men so that men can go to the doctor and get screened for testicular, colorectal and pancreatic cancer.”
