The Kansas City Chiefs have dropped a 27-second teaser for what appears to be a football-themed holiday movie titled “Falling for Football.”
The teaser suggested that the film’s plot centers around a Chiefs superfan whose heart is torn between football and a girl.
“You’re not just a fan, it’s your livelihood,” he is told as he works in what appears to be a Chiefs souvenir shop. “It’s the Chiefs or me.”
“I hate football,” the female character – Amber – shouts before running away. “No one hates football,” the man responds.
The clip was released Tuesday night, while Kansas City’s social media accounts revealed the “full trailer” will air Wednesday.

The clip was released hours after the Chiefs shared a poster for the film, featuring Pretty Little Liars star Janel Parrish and Canadian actor Tyler Hynes, who recently appeared in Three Wise Men and a Baby.
Also on the bizarre cast list are Travis Kelce’s mother Donna, hip-hop artist Tech N9ne, Chiefs players Trey Smith and Tommy Townsend, and former Kansas City star Dante Hall.
The poster read “Tis the postseason” – a reference to the NFL playoffs and Taylor Swift’s song “Tis the Damn Season” from her 2020 album Evermore.

Swift was a big part of the Chiefs’ season, with her relationship with tight end Kelce being a hot topic in the NFL.
The poster and clip were released a few days before Kelce and Co. face the Miami Dolphins in a wild-card game this weekend.
After losing their season opener, the Chiefs went on a six-game winning streak before inconsistency saw them finish the regular season with an 11-6 record.
Kansas City still managed to secure first place in the AFC West, with the Chiefs and Dolphins kicking off Saturday at 8:00 PM ET.
