Chiefs player Joe Thuney suffers embarrassing wardrobe malfunction, leaving him exposed during win over Raiders
Kansas City Chiefs guard Joe Thuney was mentioned on the broadcast, not for his efforts in their win over Las Vegas, but for an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction late in the game.
On Sunday, the defending Super Bowl champions defeated the struggling Raiders in a 27-20 victory in Sin City.
With his team up 20-13 and the clock winding down to the final five minutes, the NC State product’s pants tore. The tear ran down the back of his left thigh, exposing his tights under the red trousers.
As the camera probed the wardrobe malfunction, Kevin Harlan pointed it out on air and said, “Thuney has ripped pants.”
While the incident provided a few seconds of hilarity, it did not affect Thuney’s performance as he protected Patrick Mahomes and helped the team to victory.

Mahomes completed 27 of 38 passes for 262 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Meanwhile, Travis Kelce tallied 10 receptions for 90 yards and scored his first touchdown this season, keeping his team at the top of the table. Kareem Hunt added a touchdown on the ground and Xavier Worthy had a TD catch.
Kansas City defeated Las Vegas 334-228. The Chiefs converted 12 of 16 third-down chances for a 75 percent success rate, and the Raiders converted six of 13 third-down chances for a 46 percent success rate.
The win lifted the Chiefs to an unblemished 7-0 record in their quest for a three-peat.
Kansas City’s last loss came at the hands of the Raiders, who defeated them on Christmas Day in 2023. From there, the Chiefs would win all their games and win the Super Bowl over San Francisco in February.
