“She wiped it away and the police called. Cream pie raving about Fyles keeping her husband from having heart surgery,” the Facebook user wrote.

It is understood police are investigating the incident, which is said to have been unprovoked and had upset Ms Fyles.

This is not the first time this year that the Prime Minister has been attacked.

Ms Fyles was followed and allegedly harassed by anti-fracking protesters while taking part in a running race in Central Australia in May.

NT Police have been contacted for comment. No one has been charged in connection with the incident.
