The first official trailer for Chicken Run 2: Dawn Of The Nugget was released on Tuesday.
The movie stars Thandiwe Newton, Zachary Levi and Bella Ramsey.
The plot: The chickens Ginger and Rocky welcome a new little adventurer into their lives. “Welcome to the future,” said the film’s female villain as the chickens gasp.
The comedy – which will be released on December 15, 2023 – uses the well-known stop-motion animation.
Netflix picked up the film in 2020 on the twentieth anniversary of the original film and entered production in 2021.
Twenty years after the blockbuster first came out, Sam Fell’s UK hit is still the highest-grossing stop-motion animated film of all time, even winning Best Animated Feature at the 2001 Critics’ Choice Awards.

Chicken Run 2 follows Ginger and Rocky’s new life in a “peace island sanctuary,” free of humans after escaping Tweedy’s farm.
With a little girl named Molly emerging from the hen and rooster, the couple’s world seems complete, but they are later forced to turn their attention to the dangers of the mainland.
The dynamic duo muster their troops and risk their freedom in an attempt to overcome the threat.
The first part tells the story of a group of chickens who try to escape from the dreaded slaughterhouse, and go to great lengths to thwart their owners, who have entered the chicken pie industry.
It featured a cast of British and Australian talent, including Absolutely Fabulous star Julia Sawalha, Oscar winner Mel Gibson, Damage star Miranda Richardson and Auf Wiedersehen, and Pet legend Timothy Spall.
Aardman protagonist Sam has returned as a director after winning over fans with his ParaNorman and Flushed Away efforts.
