Chick-fil-A has been knocked out of the top 10 list of favorite fast food restaurants in America by KFC and Del Taco in a new survey.
Last year, Chick-fil-A finished first in USA Today Rankingwhich were determined by the votes of the readers.
The restaurant received high marks for its chicken dishes and waffle fries.
This year, KFC and Del Taco were outsiders of sorts. Neither had ever made the previous top ten. But this time, they not only made the list, they actually rose to the top.

At the very bottom was Arby’s, which dropped four spots from last year.
Known for its slogan “we have the meats,” Arby’s offers guests its signature roast beef sandwiches, as well as deli-style sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and wraps.
In ninth place was Zaxby’s, a restaurant known for its fried chicken. Some of their chicken-related items include chicken sandwiches, fingers, and wings.
Zaxby’s menu also includes unique items like white cheddar bites, loaded fries and fried pickles. The restaurant also lures customers with its line of chocolate chip cookies.
In eighth place was Popeyes, which rose two spots in the rankings as of 2023.
Founded in New Orleans, Popeyes is internationally known for its Southern fried chicken.

The chicken meals are served with a biscuit and the customer can choose from Cajun fries, macaroni and cheese, red beans and rice, coleslaw or mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy.
Taco Bell retained its title as the seventh best fast food restaurant.
With a wide variety of menu items, the restaurant can accommodate guests at any time of the day. Taco Bell is known for its Mexican-themed dishes, including tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and Mexican pizza.
In sixth place was Captain D’s, a popular seafood restaurant. At Captain D’s, guests can order dishes such as fried catfish or whitefish, blackened tilapia, fried shrimp and grilled salmon.

At number five was Hardee’s, a fast food restaurant known for its hearty dishes.
Founded 64 years ago in North Carolina, Hardee’s is known for its juicy burgers and homemade biscuits.
In fourth place was California-based In-N-Out Burger, which dropped two spots from last year’s second place.
Despite the simple menu, the restaurant still receives praise for its delicious food.
In-N-Out doesn’t have any freezers, as the chain uses only fresh ingredients. Diners can also choose to order from the restaurant’s “Not So Secret Menu.”

With just 600 locations in 16 states, Del Taco is a more modest chain, but the restaurant has a loyal customer base that has helped it achieve victory in the rankings.
Del Taco’s menu features a delicious mix of Mexican food, including burritos, nachos, quesadillas, as well as burgers and fries.
In addition to the standard menu, this California restaurant also offers breakfast, vegan and vegetarian menus.
