Gonzalez worked for the manager of the car dealership and was a longtime friend of the owner.
He was born in Mexico but emigrated to the United States, where he lived in Rockford, Illinois for more than twenty years.
Gonzalez specialized as a mechanic and also worked as a car salesman for the company.
“He was a caring person for people. You know, he sells cars. It doesn’t matter if he likes to deal,” the owner said.
“He was always cheerful, a happy person, treated customers as if he had known them for twenty to twenty-five years.”
“I’m overwhelmed,” the entrepreneur added.
‘I did not sleep well. I have all these people on my back calling me every day. So I just want justice. We all want justice. Families. Everyone wants justice.”
