Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams goes viral after accidentally throwing a pass in his teammate’s face

Caleb Williams threw a pass in his teammate’s face as the Chicago Bears offense broke down in the early stages of their game in London against Jacksonville.

Chicago managed just seven yards in their first six plays, as they were forced to punt on each of their first two drives at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft, had early trouble finding his wide receivers in London.

And the Bears’ offensive struggles reached a hilarious new low when Williams’ pass attempt found only the face of offensive lineman Matt Pryor.

The quarterback appeared to be trying to make a sidearm pass after escaping some pressure, but when Pryor got in his way, the linebacker made a block.

The ball fell into space but was ruled incomplete, fortunately for the Chicago quarterback.

The clip quickly flooded social media, with fans trolling Williams over the pass. “Clown show so far,” one person wrote. “As a bear fan this is funny,” wrote another.

Some fans on social media lifted a clip from the Bears’ 2022 game against the Falcons, when former quarterback Justin Fields threw a pass into the back of the head of teammate Michael Schofield.

On Sunday, Williams recovered from the comical mistake by finding Cole Kmet in the end zone twice as Chicago cruised to a 14-3 halftime lead.
