Her push back to the public is all part of the promotion for her first-ever holiday-themed studio album, titled Christmas, which just came out last week.
While Cher says in the new interview that she is not a fan of her own voice, many of her millions of fans around the world would probably disagree with her assessment of herself, as she is still worthy of a cover girl after all these years .

Cher has long been asked to create an album of songs for the holidays for most of her career, but she has never had the desire to do so.
But now that it’s done and released, the music icon admitted it came out “as good as any record” she’s made.
Cher credits her inspiration to get back into the studio to her boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards, 37. And it all started when he brought her some songs to listen to because she no longer turns on the radio.
‘When we first got together he said, “Why aren’t you recording?” And I said, “I don’t know.” So he brought me this song called “Fairness,” and it grabbed me so much. Cher continued, “And then suddenly the Christmas album came up again. I mean, it’s been coming up all my life and I was always like, “Yes, no,” and somehow this was different. When I started, I was completely into it. I called Cyndi (Lauper) first and then Stevie (Wonder) and then Darlene (Love). Tyga was a surprise and Michael (Bublé) was kind of a surprise too, because I have friends who know him.
Although she has released 26 previous solo albums, and five more as half of 1965’s Sonny & Cher, she admitted she didn’t love them all.
