Cher supports son Chaz Bono at his LA movie premiere – after he ‘uninvited’ her to upcoming wedding over Elijah Blue Allman conservatorship drama

Cher seemed excited to be reunited with her eldest son Chaz Bono as they walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film Little Bites.

The sighting comes weeks after Cher withdrew her bid to place Chaz’s troubled half-brother Elijah Blue Allman, 48, under conservatorship following a years-long court battle.

Earlier this year it was claimed that Chaz, 55, had ‘invited’ his superstar mother, 78, to his upcoming wedding amid the legal drama, according to an earlier report from In touch.

But there were no signs of animosity between Cher and Chaz as they braved the shutterbugs together at the Aero Theater on Thursday evening.

Cher showed off her seemingly ageless face as she posed in a chic outfit before heading to the screening.

The Grammy Award winner rocked a cool off-white blazer adorned with chains, safety pins and black graffiti-style text on one side.

She wore it over a low-cut, sheer striped top, which showed off her black bra.

The Believe hitmaker donned skinny black trousers and knee-high leather boots to complete her look.

Her wavy raven hair was styled in loose waves and she opted for soft glam makeup.

Cher greeted Chaz with a warm hug on the red carpet.

Chaz seemed happy to have his mother’s support at the premiere of his new horror film, which also stars Krsys Fox, Bonnie Aarons and Barbara Crampton.

The actor looked handsome in a blue blazer, khaki pants and a white button-up shirt.

He had black framed glasses and his dark brown hair looked freshly cut.

The mother-son duo also posed for photos with Chaz’s beautiful fiancée Shara Blue Mathes, who he recently moved into a $2.5 million home with.

Cher had a blast mingling with fans, photographers and the cast of Little Bites.

Thursday’s premiere was part of Beyond Fest 2024, which kicked off on September 25 and ends on October 9.

Written and directed by Spider One, Little Bites follows “a young widow who slowly allows herself to be eaten alive by a nightmarish monster in a desperate attempt to protect her 10-year-old daughter.” IMDb.

It marks Chaz’s 23rd acting performance since being thrust into the spotlight as a child on Cher and late father Sonny Bono’s variety show in the 1970s.

Chaz is Cher’s only child with Bono, to whom she was married from 1964 to 1975.

Bono died tragically as a result of injuries sustained in a freak skiing accident in 1998. The legendary entertainer was 62.

Days before Chaz got ready for his big premiere, the movie star was spotted taking a romantic stroll with fiancée Shara in their new Hollywood neighborhood.

Aerial photos obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com on Monday show the house complete with a backyard pool, wooden fencing and a front yard punctuated by gray stones, desert scrub and double parking spaces.

The couple moved into the $2.5 million home in early September before getting married in a ceremony that Cher reportedly did not attend.

They reportedly didn’t invite the I Got You Babe singer to the wedding as part of the fallout from her messy lawsuit with Elijah Blue Allman. Elijah is Cher’s son with the late rocker Greg Allman.

“Chaz and Shara completely remove Cher from the guest list and are not bothered by it,” an insider said In touch in February.

“They want a simple ceremony without Cher’s theatrics.”

Meanwhile, Cher recently abandoned her bid to gain conservatorship of her other son Elijah Blue Allman, 48.

The nearly year-long legal battle ended on September 13 after the 78-year-old filed a notice to withdraw in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Whether Cher giving up her conservatorship claim will repair her relationship with her other son remains to be seen.

Chaz is set to marry former child star Shara, who appeared alongside Jason Bateman in the 1984 comedy series It’s Your Move when he was 15, in the near future.

The couple got together in January 2017, ten years after he began his transition from female to male, and became engaged in recent years.

As a child, before transitioning, Chaz was known as Chastity and appeared on his very famous parents’ variety show, The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour.

Now he is an actor and was last seen in American Horror Story and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Shara, a former drug addict and divorced mother of one, started working for homeless charities and was working at Housing Works in LA when they met.

She opened up about her addiction in a 2018 post in honor of Cooper’s 18th birthday, after two years of being unable to care for him.

“I thank God for my family who took over for me when my addiction left me powerless over my life and choices,” she wrote.

“You never had to see me on drugs and my mother, father and brother loved you as much as they could until I was healthy again.

‘It was hard work to get back into your life. I would have done manual labor in the quarry if I had to!

“My mom and dad knew what they were doing by making me wait until I was two years sober before coming back into your life… but I would kill to get those years back.”

Chaz opened up about his own drug problems in his 2011 book Transition: The Story Of How I Became A Man.

He explained that he used prescription opiates to cope with two tragedies: the death of his father Sonny in a freak skiing accident in 1998 and then the death of his lover Joan Stephens.

Chaz was set to marry his ex-fiance Jennifer Elia, but they split just weeks after his wedding on November 27, 2011. In the TV special Being Chaz, he was shown proposing on top of the Space Needle in Seattle.
