Cher is reportedly in talks to take on the role of Legends at Glastonbury 2025, a move that would please her fans and mark her 60th anniversary in music.
The 78-year-old Believe hitmaker is said to be having ‘meaningful conversations’ with bosses of the festival in Somerset, which takes place at the end of June.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis is keen to attract the biggest stars next year as 2026 is a quiet year for the event to allow the farmland to recover.
The sun claims that Cher is now planning her potential Glastonbury appearance and hopes to perform a number of shows in the UK next year.
A source told the publication: ‘Cher is practically the legend of all pop music legends. She would be incredible.

‘It’s been a long time coming, but she’s finally in serious talks with Glastonbury about playing the legend’s slot.
‘Everything is still in the planning stages, but Cher is hoping to do some shows in the UK next year and Glastonbury could be one of them.
“The idea of a large-scale tour no longer interests her.”

She had hinted at the possibility during a conversation on Radio 2 last year and when presenter Rylan Clark asked her if she would like to perform there, she said: ‘I would like to.’
This comes as Cher is about to release her first greatest hits album in 20 years.
Earlier last month, Warner Records announced that the music icon had personally curated a special collection of 21 of her songs, spanning her decades-long career and “beautifully remastered.”
The compilation album, titled Forever, features some of her biggest hits, including Believe, If I Could Turn Back Time, Song For The Lonely and The Way Of Love.

Additionally, DJ Play’s A Christmas Song, from her 2023 Christmas album, and a live recording of I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For will both be featured on Forever.
Forever will be released on September 20, two months before the release of her upcoming book Cher: The Memoir, Part One.
According to the press release, obtained by Just Jared, Forever’s “special double vinyl packaging is printed on silver foil cardstock with crystal clear translucent vinyl.”
It will also be available on CD and can be pre-ordered at CherForever.net.
The digital release of the Forever Fan Edition will be “available on all streaming services from the same date and will include 19 additional songs.”
Cher has previously released 27 studio albums, 11 compilation albums, two soundtrack albums, and three live albums.
The Goddess of Pop recently announced that she’s releasing her memoir in two parts and posted a first look at the cover of her book.
The first book, titled Cher: The Memoir, Part One, will be released on November 19, 2024. The second book is expected to be released in 2025.
