Chennedy Carter SLAMS Caitlin Clark on social media after refusing to answer reporters’ questions on shove – and insists: ‘I’d rather you hate me than love me’

Chennedy Carter criticized Caitlin Clark on social media after checking out the Indiana Fever rookie in a now-viral moment on Saturday.

After the match, Carter had refused to answer reporters’ questions about why she shoved Clark, but later criticized the security guard Wires.

In response to a video of her post-game press conference — with a caption (from another user) that said, “Kudos to all these women, they really made WNBA interesting” — Carter fired back.

‘[And] that’s what happens next to three-point shooting [Clark] bring the man to the table,” she wrote.

Clark is averaging 16.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game, though she also coughs up 5.6 turnovers per game.

Carter also referenced her feud with Clark in her own Instagram Story, writing, “I grew up with all brothers. All we did was fight and argue. I love the hate more than the love that y’all don’t understand. I’d rather you hate me [than] love me and I mean that to my late aunt.”

Things got ugly between Clark and Carter on Saturday, when the latter appeared to shout “you b***h” at the former Iowa star as she knocked her to the ground.

Extensive video of the sequence also appears to show Clark clucking at Carter as they walk off the court after an Aaliyah Boston basket.

After the play, which occurred near the end of the third quarter, Clark spoke to the ESPN broadcast at the end of the period.

“That’s just not a basketball game, but I have to play through it, that’s what basketball at this level is about,” she said.

Meanwhile, Carter said after the game: “I’m not answering Caitlin Clark’s questions. I don’t know what she said. I said nothing.’

The situation led to the idea that the Fever need an “enforcer” to protect Clark, as suggested by the Warriors’ Draymond Green.

With a slew of endorsement deals, a signature shoe and a laundry list of college records, it’s not hard to imagine why Clark could be a target for opponents.
