Chennedy Carter puts in electric performance off the bench in first game since Caitlin Clark controversy – and is even fouled herself! – but can’t seal win for the Sky against Liberty

Chennedy Carter put in an electric performance off the bench for the Chicago Sky amid the controversy surrounding her foul on Caitlin Clark this weekend.

The 25-year-old brushed off the backlash she has faced in recent days to spark the Sky’s comeback against the New York Liberty on Tuesday night.

She dropped 16 points to rally the home team from a 16-point deficit after the first period. However, it ultimately proved not to be enough as the Liberty bounced back to an 88-75 victory.

The display came three days after Carter sparked controversy with a brutal flagrant foul on 2024 No. 1 Draft pick Clark.

During the match, the Indiana Fever rookie was bodychecked and pushed to the ground by Carter, with ex-LSU icon and Sky teammate Angel Reese seen jumping off the bench to celebrate the violent action.
