Mykhailo Mudryk has become the latest Chelsea player to settle down at the treatment table after sustaining an injury in training.
The winger is the ninth Blues player currently ruled out of action, following the likes of Reece James and Carney Chukwuemeka who suffered injuries in their first two league games.
As well as Wesley Fofana and Christopher Nkunku, who are recovering from longer term issues picked up prior to the campaign.
Based on the valuations of Chelsea academy players from the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) and the transfer fees of the players purchased by the club, the value of all players currently sidelined is the staggering sum of £368 million.
With Benoit Badiashile, Marcus Bettinelli, Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah joining the unavailable stars.
Christopher Nkunku suffered a knee injury during the exhibition match against Borussia Dortmund
With a squad remaining noticeably worn in certain areas despite their unprecedented level of spending, Mauricio Pochettino is facing more squad headaches ahead of Friday night’s game against Luton.
The new Chelsea boss will be hoping to score his maiden win against the newly promoted side, who make the journey to Stamford Bridge with another week of preparation following the postponement of this game against Burnley.
