Former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf has asked new manager Enzo Maresca to replace Mykhailo Mudryk this summer.
Mudryk moved to Stamford Bridge from Shakhtar Donetsk in his native Ukraine in January 2023 for a fee of £88million.
But the 23-year-old winger has not quite lived up to that price tag so far.
Leboeuf – who played for the Blues between 1996 and 2001 – said this week: ‘Mudryk has no value anymore – he is a lost cause and Chelsea will not make any more money from him,
‘Mudryk is so inexperienced and he doesn’t get better under many managers. There is no improvement.’

Mudryk has struggled to live up to his huge price tag since joining Chelsea in January 2023
Leboeuf continued: ‘Who would want to buy Mudryk? I wouldn’t even buy him for £10m at the moment. In fact, I wouldn’t even buy him for £1m. Why would you want to spend money on a player who is not productive in any way?
‘He’s been here for 18 months and I know it’s difficult for him given his circumstances at home in Ukraine, but from what I’ve seen I’m really concerned that Chelsea have signed a failure in Mudryk and they need to replace him.
‘I was bought for £2m in 1996 and I thought that was a lot! Mudryk was bought for £70m or something – it’s insane!’
Mudryk has scored five goals and provided four assists in 46 Premier League games for Chelsea so far.
Last season he played in 41 matches in all competitions.
