Chelsea have withdrawn from the race for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
As reported by The sunThe Blues and new manager Enzo Maresca were reluctant to accept Newcastle’s valuation of over £100m.
Newcastle believe Isak is worth closer to £120m in the current market.
Although Chelsea have held talks with the Sweden international this week, a deal now seems unlikely.
Newcastle feared Chelsea were seeking to take advantage of the PSR problems by making a low bid for the 24-year-old.

Chelsea are said to have found it difficult to meet Isak’s wage demands. The forward earns around £120,000 a week but would have wanted around £200,000 a week if he had made the move to Stamford Bridge.
With no transfer for Isak, Everton could be negatively affected.
The situation with Isak means it is unlikely Everton can sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Newcastle at this stage
Sean Dyche’s side are struggling to meet the PSR deadline, with the report suggesting Newcastle boss Eddie Howe views Calvert-Lewin as his first choice striker if Isak leaves.
Although Newcastle are willing to offer Calvert-Lewin a five-year contract and the player would be open to a transfer, such a deal seems unlikely unless Isak leaves.
