Chairman Todd Boehly delivered a short three-word response when asked about Chelsea’s performance in a nervous win against Leeds on Saturday.

The Blues overcame relegation-threatened Javi Gracia at Stamford Bridge thanks to a Wesley Fofana header.

Graham Potter’s side only had three shots on target and failed to fully convince in their performance against the fighters.

And American tycoon Boehly, when asked if he enjoyed the match, gave a forceful response to the media.

He simply said: ‘It’s a result’, before smiling.

The win is the first in eight games and second in 12 in all competitions for Potter, who has lost as many games as won (10) during his 27 games at the club since taking over from Thomas Tuchel.

After the match, the relieved former Brighton boss said it was “nice to go home with a win” after the club had endured a “challenging period” amid calls for his sacking from fans.

He said: ‘It is [the feeling after winning] It’s better than the opposite, that’s for sure.

I am delighted for the players and I am delighted for the fans because they are the most important people in the football club. People care. The players want to win and the fans want us to do well.

We have had to suffer. The boys have been suffering because they care, they do. Our followers have been suffering. It has been a challenging period.

Chelsea then host Germany’s Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League round of 16 second leg, losing 1-0 from the first leg, on Tuesday before traveling to Leicester on Saturday.
