Former Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier is reportedly trying to convince Conor Gallagher to join his old club this summer.
Gallagher was Chelsea captain last season in the absence of the injured Reece James.
The midfielder made 50 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists.
He has just one year left on his contract and has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs, including London rivals Tottenham.
Atletico Madrid are also considering a move and ALS report that they may be assisted in their search by Trippier.

Trippier played three seasons at the Metropolitano Stadium and helped Atlético to La Liga victory in 2021.
According to AS, Trippier was ‘very positive about Atlético’ in his conversations with Gallagher and advised him to think about a transfer.
According to the report, Atlético have already had a £17million bid rejected during this transfer window.
Gallagher is currently on holiday following the rift England experienced at the European Championships.
Gallagher was full of praise for Mauricio Pochettino after his departure and the arrival of Enzo Maresca.
He said: ‘I think I’ve come a long way this season. I give Pochettino a lot of credit and what he’s done for me.
“He gave me responsibility and trust at Chelsea and, as I said, I think it puts me in a better position to be a bigger part of the squad for this tournament. I’m going to do everything I can to help the team as much as possible.”
Gallagher added: ‘He is [Pochettino] has done so much for me, so I was sad for him and for the coaching staff.
But I’m really excited about the new manager [Enzo Maresca] I’m here and I and everyone at Chelsea are very excited to work with him.’
