Chelsea star Thiago Silva’s wife ‘doesn’t know what to say’ to her husband amid form

Struggling Chelsea star Thiago Silva’s wife admits she ‘doesn’t know what to say’ to husband with ‘situation worsening at home’ after NINE games without a win

Thiago Silva’s wife has run out of things to say to cheer her husband up amid Chelsea’s troubled season which has seen them nine points above the relegation zone.

The Blues took their final beating to table captain Arsenal, going down 3-1 to make it six defeats from six games for interim boss Frank Lampard.

Silva was spotted in what appeared to be a blazing battle with Ben Chilwell following Martin Odegaard’s second goal over defensive positioning and other factors leading to Arsenal doubling their lead.

Now the Brazilian defender’s wife has admitted that Chelsea’s abysmal form is making it increasingly difficult for her to keep morale up at home.

Belle Silva wrote on Twitter: ‘Very hard to see what I see on TV. At home, the situation worsens because I don’t know how to help, what to say. Very sad @tsilva3 you are not alone.’

Silva is a veteran of the Blues dressing room, but his presence and experience have done little to stop the rot, with Chelsea winless in their last nine games in all competitions.

That’s a run that stretches back almost two months and Chelsea will end the season with no silverware and no Champions League qualification as a result.

The centre-back, 38, fell down the Chelsea hierarchy following the team’s lackluster Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid last month, blaming ‘indecision’ for the West London side’s disappointing season.

Silva, who won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021 under Thomas Tuchel, has made a disappointed figure on the field after the final whistle as the misery has increased in recent weeks.

And Silva has been in some of the world’s biggest clubs and is baffled by the lack of a plan in co-owner Todd Boehly’s miserable first 12 months.

Last month, Silva hit out at Chelsea’s owners, blaming ‘indecision’ for a disappointing season

“I think the first step has been taken. A wrong step, but it was made,” Silva told Brazilian media.

“We can’t blame the managers if we don’t take responsibility. It is a tough period for the club, with a lot of indecision.

“Transfer of ownership, arrival of new players – we had to enlarge the dressing room because it didn’t fit the size of the team.”

Silva has made 31 appearances for Chelsea this season, but his experience counts for little in a campaign that saw Tuchel and Graham Potter sacked and £600m players integrated.
