Jadon Sancho has claimed Cole Palmer will be ‘seething’ with his performance against Brighton – despite scoring four goals.
Palmer became the first Premier League player in history to score four goals before half-time as Chelsea won 4-2 at home to Brighton on Saturday.
Sancho won the penalty for Palmer to convert and also assisted his fourth goal, settling in well after being loaned out by Manchester United.
He sees Palmer, who now has six goals and four assists this season, as a player who can take a team to a new level.
“When you have a player like Cole Palmer on your team, anything is possible,” he said Chelsea website.

‘I’ve known Cole for a long time, since our days together at City. I always watched him and I always thought he would be a great player. He is now showing that at Chelsea.
‘We see every day what he is capable of in training, we see the quality he has and to be honest it is no real surprise to me that he is scoring four goals.
‘Actually he could have scored five or six goals! I’m sure he’ll be hesitant not to add to his score, but in all seriousness he’s such a quality player.”
Palmer had seven shots against the Seagulls and was indeed disappointed not to convert more of his chances.
One chance in the second half, when Moises Caicedo won the ball high and played it clean on target in the area, sticks in the memory after he smashed the ball wide.
“I should have had five or six,” Palmer told Match of the Day.
‘When I missed the first chance I was upset, but the way they played and their high line I felt like we would get more chances.
“The manager had a good game plan in place, we knew how to attack them with the first passes behind.
Palmer must have been ‘fuming’ not to take more risks, Sancho said – and the four-goal man admitted he was disappointed to squander some chances
‘Brighton are a good team, can pass the ball well. They play the same as us. Three points is what we needed and that’s what we got.
‘I try to play every match as best I can.’
